Here is some information to help us get better acquainted. I came to Dallas to study at Dallas Theological Seminary after serving as Pastor of several Southern Baptist churches in Alabama. A graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, I taught at Dallas Bible College where I became Chairman of the Pastoral Studies Department. After graduating from DTS I served as pastor of Metrocrest Bible Church in Farmers Branch for ten years. After that I managed a Christian bookstore in Lewisville, and then started my own Christian publishing company. Since February, 2008, I have divided my time between the publishing company, serving as part-time Chaplain, and preaching at the Lake Kiowa Chapel as well as in local churches. As time permits, I occasionally teach a Creative Writing or Business Writing course for the Lifelong Learning Department of North Central Texas College. My wife’s name is Joan, and we have three grown children and three grandchildren. Two of our children and the grandchildren live in North Dallas. Joan and I were charter members of the Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, and currently are members of the First Baptist Church in Gainesville.
